The fifth chapter is set on Asteria, and continues shortly after the events of "Echoes of Paradise." An island called Avalon suddenly appears, and upon it is said to rest a sapphire that can grant any wish. A group of heroes seeking the sapphire arrive to blaze a trail through the unexplored island, but a great many adventures await them first...
Ruca Milda
The son of a wealthy merchant, Ruca is an exceptional student, but is shy around others due to a lack of confidence in his physical abilities. He is kind, but reserved and indecisive. He adores the strong and manly Asura he sees in his dreams, even though Asura's personality is almost the opposite of his own.
Lloyd Irving
Lloyd is quick to lose his cool, but is fundamentally straightforward and honest. He was found in the forest at a young age, and raised by a dwarven stepfather who taught him to be nimble with his hands. He was a childhood friend to Sylvarant's Chosen, Colette, and now accompanies her as a bodyguard.
Pascal
Pascal is a brilliant inventor whose cheerful demeanor invigorates those around her, though her absurd antics and habit of blurting out whatever's on her mind may shock them at times. A passionate researcher since she was young, and inventing and discovering new things is her all-consuming obsession.
Alisha Diphda
Known as "the Princess Knight," Alisha's cheerful and ladylike nature belies her determination to fight for her kingdom as a knight and princess alike. Currently, in her capacity as a knight, she has been assigned to secure the safety of island visitors.
Eizen
A pirate known as the "Reaper," Eizen serves in a notable pirate band. He lives life as he pleases, sailing the seas in accordance with his own unwavering ideals. His strong-willed ways have earned him immense trust from his pirate comrades.
